About Community Alliance Trust
We are a development trust based in Greater Craigmillar.
We were established in 2011 to promote the community's role in regeneration of the area, and continue to do this work - giving voice to local residents, building, supporting and strengthening the evolving communities that live and work here.
Mission
To promote the interests of the people of Greater Craigmillar to enable them to better influence the decisions taken about the future of their area
To build community capacity and citizen leadership within neighbourhoods and across the area
To utilise and enhance existing community assets to the benefit of the local population
To develop and build the capacity of the local voluntary sector to better enable it to deliver positive outcomes for the underserved communities it supports

We will always act in an anti-discriminatory way, and expect our workers and volunteers to actively challenge discriminatory behaviours whenever they occur
We will support local people to take control of the development of their neighbourhooods and the wider area, by operating in a democratic way in the interests of the wider population

We will champion Greater Craigmillar and its residents as a means of developing the community in the best interests of all
